What is expected of me as a parent of a child with a small business?
Emotional support and motivation. Your child will need you to be their biggest cheerleader and help promote their products or services! The best thing you can do is help them to build a real business so you guys can leave a legacy or have a small family business. This can help earn extra money for college, a car, and all kinds of things they will need. Support them and motivate them when it gets hard.
Do I need to have an idea?
No. All participants will go through an ideation process where they will brainstorm ideas with the help of an entrepreneur. They will also do a personal assessment and validate their product or service with the community (market) before moving forward. This process is called “Lean Startup”.
Why is fund raising necessary?
Through fund raising and meeting business owners participants are able to decide whether or not entrepreneurship is right for them. Learning to pitch and sell their products or services is a huge part of becoming an entrepreneur and having a successful business. Lastly, fundraising keeps the cost of the program low to allow all teens the opportunity to participate.
If I have multiple children is there a discount?
It's a possibility. Contact us for more details about your specific situation

What if my child isn’t an entrepreneur?
Don’t think that. We’re all entrepreneurs, although we may not all be capable of running a business.
They are 2 different things. That’s okay. Learning how to start your own business will help a child learn
to be a better employee and give them the skills they need for a successful career too. What better way
to understand how someone else’s business works than by starting your own?
What if I’m not an entrepreneur?
This has nothing to do with your child nor your child’s ability to be successful in this program. We all like to make money. Allow your child to give it a try!
